Rock Salt Runners is a friendly running club based in Winsford, Cheshire. We’re here because we believe running is better when you don’t have to do it alone.
Whether you’re completely new to running or you’ve been running for years, there should always be someone beside you. That’s what No One Left Behind means to us.
A club for every runner
Running clubs can sometimes feel intimidating. You might wonder whether you’re fast enough, fit enough or experienced enough to join. At Rock Salt, you don’t have to prove yourself before you arrive. You just need to turn up. We’ll help you find your place.
Everyone has a different reason for running. For some, the goal is simply to complete their first 5K. For others, it’s a faster 5K, a first 10K, a half marathon or a marathon. There isn’t one definition of a runner. Whatever your goal, Rock Salt is here to help you get there.

Where we run
Rock Salt Runners is proudly rooted in Winsford. The town’s history is closely connected with rock salt, and that heritage has become part of our identity. We run through the town and the surrounding Cheshire countryside, from the River Weaver to the salt works, the Whitegate Way and Delamere Forest.
